Rain Creates Garden Surprises

Braved the rain to pick some evening vegetables and found some special surprises in my garden. PhotobucketA passionfruit flower.

PhotobucketBeginnings of my first water melon.

PhotobucketFirst buds on the eggplants.

PhotobucketNew broccoli florets forming.

PhotobucketBut the mulberry tree continues to struggle. Now it has lost all its leaves. I am waiting eagerly for new shoots to form.

After reading your blog entries I thought you would be interested to visit http://guildwood.blogspot.com blog as well.
Any trees or plants benefit from mulch around their root base. Keeps the moisture and protects from sun.
