Community Garden Afternoon

A `Community Garden' is all about sharing and learning.

Everyone loves it when Greg from Wormtec calls over to give us advise about our gardens.

Happy to say my garden met with his approval although he suggested some alfalfa mulch would improve the buildup of microbes. Have been using sugar cane mulch which is also a nitrogen adder, but he felt the alfalfa would be better. For those who saw my earlier broccoli you will see it is now being eaten. A second crop starting on the broccoli I have fully eaten on the smaller front plant.

You can also see some of my yellow cherry tomatoes. Eat these sweet little tomatoes from the plant almost every day so never many on the tomato bush. Baby rainbow chard starting at the front left corner and the shadow of my beans which I also eat daily in the back left. A small calendula flower just to be seen at the bottom right.
