Have layered the plants this year as an attempt to provide shade to overcome the summer heat.
Marigolds, and the lavender hedge planted along the side of the patch are helpful pest deterrents.
The lavender fragrance in particular appears to confuse.
The white eggplant is producing many eggplants.
Its seeds are being saved to try to replicate its unique color.
The purple climbing beans are another favorite as are the sweet yellow cherry tomatoes.
