Found this great link to compare your income to others on our planet at at Modern Green Living
Could not resist doing the comparison check. especially as I struggle each month to pay my bills.
Putting in my income and comparing it on a global scale made me realize the economic poverty that exists in our world.
My church is teaching us to live more simply and to learn to share what we have.
Yet to me one issue of poverty is having REAL food for all on this planet.
My Community Garden teaches seed saving and to make the soil more productive.
Animals that produce meat and milk use soil that could feed people.
Jane Plant shows in her writings that countries that do not have milk as a staple of their diets have lower breast cancer rates.
We may have affluence but `The Western Way of Living' is not increasing health and well being.
There are countries we consider poor that have a healthier way of living.
I hope this year brings change for both rich and poor in ways that create better living for all on this planet.
