Permablitz at Mandala Organic Art Cafe's Permaculture Garden `An Urban Eden'

Once there was a gravel carpark and then there was a dream of `An Urban Eden'.

This `Urban Eden' is now the permaculture garden of the new `Mandala Organic Arts Cafe' and the venue of a permablitz last Sunday.

The first tasks were weeding, renewing the soil and mulching.

These ladies are busy preparing worm droppings for soil renewal.

Meanwhile instructions are received on how to achieve the best results with planting the many vegetable seedlings that were added to the newly prepared ground.

And then a wonderful lunch prepared by Mandala Organic Arts Cafe.

So much achieved and a good time had by all.

Here is Leah our special permablitz organizer, the lady in blue in front of the passion fruit framed entrance to the cafe and gallery space.

And here are Vlad and Luka. Vlad cooked our wonderful lunch.

Leah with Rebecca another of our inspirational permaculturalists, and these twelve cassava cuttings will soon be beautiful trees along the along the back fence of the garden.
