Scarecrows and Creativity at Varsity Lakes Community Garden

A recent series of scarecrow workshops using recycled materials are adding a new dimension to Varsity Lakes Community Garden.

The weather may be hot and gardening difficult but color and creativity abounds in this garden.

A cheerful greeting inspires as one enters the garden, and the scarecrow in the children's garden boasts both feathers and tinsel to frighten away predators.

Meanwhile more scarecrows are underway in the shed and a recycled toilet bowl grows mint in the shared mandala garden.

A cheerful maiden protects the rock melons while a fierce looking Worzel guards the raised beds.
