It was a large crowd of passionate people who gathered to express their concern over global warming at the Gold Coast's meetup for National Day of Climate Change held at Burleigh Beach.
People had been asked to wear red or orange and the demonstrators stood out amidst the Sunday Beach Crowds as they came together to sign letters to Abbott the Australian Prime Minister asking him to commit to climate action.
But I was there for the later gathering and speaking by all.
It was a diverse group of both young and old but bound together over one vision that with appropriate action change can be achieved.
It was also good to know that all over Australia similar gatherings were bringing the need for climate action to the fore, especially at this time when the tragic climate situation in the Philippines has saddened so many.
