Soil Organic Food and Community

Working together to create good soil and organic food is a shared activity at Varsity Lakes Community Garden.

Wednesday morning sees members mulching, weeding and planting towards future food security.

Small Brazilian Cherry plants grown from seeds from the original Brazilian Cherry plantings were added to the now mulch enriched soil at the back of the garden.

Some member focused on their own abundant patches.

My patch is the one with the with the optimistically waiting bean stack.

Creating food together is a great learning experience and the tastiest and most nutritious food is being harvested for all to share.
