Community Garden Creates Food Dreams

Bananas and citrus trees are all part of creating a place to dream about cooperative, organic  ways of producing  food at my local community garden.

The whimsical scarecrow created in a garden workshop further adds to this ambiance.

Now five years old Varsity Lakes has evolved as an abundant food garden where individual voices are heard and new ideas flourish along with a plethora of busy bees, encouraged by the abundant flowers and seeding plants.

In another corner of the garden Black Mulberry cuttings sprout ready to create a new fruit area, and everywhere with the late winter rains and sunny days nutritious food abounds.
